If a rainfall number looks wrong

This is worth reporting, and it is easier to investigate with three things:

• the location name, and roughly when the rain fell;
• what Raindex showed, and over which window (24 h, 72 h, a calendar day);
• what you measured, and with what — a gauge, a bucket, a neighbour.

A common and genuine cause of disagreement is comparing different windows: a rolling 24-hour total and a midnight-to-midnight calendar day are two different measurements of the same storm.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings — we cannot change or refund a subscription on your behalf, but we can help you work out what happened.

Deleting your data

The app has a Delete my data control in Settings that erases your device record, saved locations, alert settings and alert history from our servers, then wipes local data. If it fails, email us rather than assuming it worked.

Raindex is a measurement tool, not a warning service. It is not a substitute for official National Weather Service warnings, and it should never be relied on alone for a life-safety or flood decision.
